Bio

Jessica Hodgson is a mixed-media artist passionate about making work that questions our relationships with agriculture. Raised on a family farm near the hamlet of Hartney, MB, Jessica draws from her familial ties to agriculture to explore the roles of science and propaganda in current environmental movements towards greener food production. 

Jessica received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Honours in Ceramics from the University of Manitoba in 2012 and has since exhibited nationally and internationally. Jessica’s functional ceramics have been represented through various galleries, including the C2 Centre for Craft and Winnipeg Art Gallery Shop. She is an active member of the Winnipeg arts community and currently works out of her home studio in South Osborne.
